Star Trails over Buckroney Dunes

• Connection to Category: Buckroney Dunes in Co. Wicklow is one of the few genuinely dark locations on Ireland's east coast. I was shooting star trails from the top of a dune when two people walked straight through the scene with the brightest torch imaginable. I thought I would have a lot of work ahead of me removing the light trail. But looking at it afterwards, the light trail along the road and through the dunes carved a natural S-curve straight up into the stars and gave the image an ethereal feel.
