Last October, the comet atlas was quickly fading as it drifted through space and positioned itself in front of the Milky Way. With Halloween coming up, our astronauts consumes already in hand and some family visiting from the Philippines, we made the trip to Picacho Peak State Park. I wanted to show them what the Milky Way truly looks like from a dark sky. I had dreamt up this shot with me and my oldest daughter, in our astronaut suits looking out at the desert and deep space.
